About the Fort Smith Fall Festival
Join us for the 7th Annual Fort Smith Fall Festival on Saturday, October 24, 2026, from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM, for one of Fort Smith's biggest and most beloved family events!
Experience a full day of FREE history, hands-on activities, arts, shopping, live demonstrations, and family fun throughout downtown Fort Smith.Festival Highlights:
- 80+ living history reenactors at Fort Smith National Historic Site
- Infantry, cavalry & cannon demonstrations
- Belle Starr Trial reenactment
- Free admission to the Fort Smith Museum of History
- Free Open House at the Clayton House with activities for Judge Clayton’s Birthday
- Free Open House at Miss Laura's Brothel Museum
- Free Family Day at the Fort Smith Regional Art Museum
- Free trolley rides at the Fort Smith Trolley Museum
- Discounted admission at the U.S. Marshals Museum (until 4:00 PM)

Fort Smith Farmers Market

2nd & Garrison AveStart your Fall Fest experience at the Fort Smith Farmers Market in the heart of downtown. Browse locally grown produce, homemade foods, handcrafted goods, and unique finds from farmers, makers, and small businesses throughout the region. It is the perfect place to shop local and enjoy the sights, sounds, and flavors of fall in Fort Smith.Additionally, the market will be holding several special events specifically for this year's fall festival, including:

· 3:00 PM— School of the Soldier: Musket Drill Children’s ProgramTo reserve tickets for the trial reenactment, you must pick them up ahead of time at the park's visitor center (301 Parker Ave)- All day there will be living history encampments including laundresses, Deputy Marshals, garden talks, and a military living history timeline from the War of 1812 to WWII.- 12th Annual Fort Smith Volunteer Fair: Sponsored with UAFS-Drop in and visit with dozens of local non-profits and see how you can give back to your community!- FREE entrance into the museum and guided tours!-FREE Kids' Educational Area staffed by our partners at Choctaw Nation with activities, games, and arts/crafts!
Transportation
Free trolley bus transportation (courtesy of Fort Smith Transit) will make regular stops at each location from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM.Park near one of the seven trolley bus stops, then take the bus to each location,Additionally, free streetcar (cablecar) trolley rides from the Fort Smith Trolley Museum will be provided courtesy of Main Street Fort Smith!
Food
Come hungry to this year's Fall Festival!Food Trucks will be located on 3rd St between Garrison Ave and Rogers Ave.FULL LIST OF FOOD VENDORS COMING SOONAlso, be sure to grab some free food at Fort Smith Regional Art Museum and top it all off with a build-your-own sundae bar at the Fort Smith Museum of History!

1601 Rogers AveGet ready for a wonder'fall' time this year at our annual RAM Fall Family Day!Join us Saturday, October 24, from 10 AM – 3 PM for FREE hot dogs, goodie bags, a chalk art contest, patio games, photo ops, and make-and-take fall crafts in the RAM Studio. Art scavenger hunts with prizes will also be held in all three galleries.The trolley will bring you right to our front door!
